First Huck and Tom had found a box of gold in a robber's cave. They went to Judge Thatchet so manage the money and they recieve a dollar a day.
Next Huck's father went looking for him after he found out about his son's discovery. Huck knew his father would try to find him which is why he left his money in the Judge's care. After his father came to Miss Watson's house he took Huck home with him.
Then Huck ran away from his father's home to a small part of an island. Jim was there too. They made a plan about running far away. When they both disappeared Huck was pressumed murdered and Jim was the accused. While on their runaway they meet these two guys named King and Duke. They wanted Jim since they thought he could be of some use but Huck used his wits to make them agree to take him onboard too. The King and Duke were con artists going from place to place conning people out of their money.
Finally Jim ended up being sold. Huck went to go find him. He went to the Phelps house and pretends to be someone else in order to formulate a plan on how to free Jim.
