Huckleberry Finn - Protagonist. Son of an abusive drunk. Mostly cares for himself and survives mainly on his own.
Tom Sawyer - Stubborn and unintelligent.
Miss Watson - Huck's guardian. She's religious but very hipocritical.
Jim - Miss Watson's slave. He's a close friend to Huck. His friendship opens Huck's eyes to the unimprtance of race or status.
King and Duke - Con artists. The king is seventy and the Duke is thirty.
